CGPA = total of GPA × semester credits ÷ total credits. Do not use a plain average unless every semester has the same credits.

Official rules and exclusions
VIT uses S = 10, A = 9, B = 8, C = 7, D = 6, E = 5, and F or N = 0. P, U, and W do not carry grade points. Minor, Honours, audit, and pass or fail courses are excluded from the programme CGPA. Version 5.0 also excludes Second Major courses.
