GNDU GPA and CGPA calculator guide
The calculator implements the official CBEGS 2023-24 grade table and credit-weighted SGPA/CGPA method. Results are reported to two decimal places. Older regulations must not be mixed with this preset.
Programmes and regulations covered
GNDU campuses and affiliated colleges; current and pre-2023 grading regulations must not be mixed.. The calculator scope is set by programme and regulation, not by the university name alone.

Exact SGPA and CGPA formula
Σ(Credits × Grade Point) ÷ Σ(Credits)
Multiply each included course’s credits by its grade point. Add the weighted points, add the included credits, then divide. For CGPA, use all counted courses across the semesters covered by your university record. A simple average of semester results is correct only when the counted credits match.
Included and excluded subjects
Included in the preset
Courses with the published grade points below are included when they carry counted credits.
- O: Outstanding · >90–100
- A+: Excellent · >80–90
- A: Very Good · >70–80
- B+: Good · >60–70
- B: Above Average · >50–60
- C: Average · >40–50
- P: Pass · 35–40
- F: Fail · below 35
Excluded or needs checking
- Programme-specific non-credit and excluded courses must follow the applicable regulation.
A status can affect progression even when it does not enter CGPA. Check the regulation before removing a failed, repeated, withdrawn, audit or non-credit course.

CGPA to percentage conversion
No university-wide conversion is claimed for this record. Report the CGPA or obtain a conversion certificate from the university when one is required.
Conversion rules are not interchangeable. A formula from another university, batch or unofficial website does not replace the source linked below.
Open the GNDU conversion calculatorTarget CGPA for the next semester
To plan a target, use your current CGPA, completed counted credits, target CGPA and expected next semester credits. The required next SGPA is:
[Target CGPA × (completed credits + next credits) − current CGPA × completed credits] ÷ next credits
This record uses nearest rounding for the displayed target result. Keep the unrounded value while planning and exclude courses that the regulation does not count.
Open the GNDU target CGPA calculatorWorked example
Suppose three included courses carry 4, 3 and 2 credits with grade points 8, 9 and 7. The weighted points are 32, 27 and 14. Their total is 73 and the counted credits total 9, so the semester result is 73 ÷ 9 = 8.11 when displayed to two decimals.
This is an illustration, not an official GNDU transcript calculation. Replace the example values with the course credits and grade points that your regulation counts.
Common input mistakes
- Choosing a regulation because it gives a better result instead of matching your batch and programme.
- Entering marks where the calculator expects a grade point, or using the wrong university grade table.
- Including audit, pass/fail, withdrawal, exemption or non-credit entries without checking the source clause.
- Taking a simple average of semester SGPAs when the semesters have different counted credits.
- Rounding each intermediate value before the final division or conversion.
