Do not use a plain semester average

CGPA = Σ(semester credits × SGPA) ÷ Σ(semester credits). SRM Regulation 2021 explicitly weights each semester by its total credits, so a simple average is only equivalent when every semester carries the same credits.

Official percentage conversion

SRM’s 2021 regulation states: equivalent percentage = CGPA × 10. An 8.50 CGPA therefore corresponds to 85%.
