Regulation scope

For SRMIST records governed by the 2021 B.Tech. and M.Tech. Integrated regulation. The cited certificate supports B.Tech. 2022 batch onward. Other SRM universities can publish a different conversion.

Conversion formula

Percentage = CGPA × 10. Reverse conversion: CGPA = Percentage ÷ 10.

Use final CGPA from the SRMIST record, not SGPA or a reconstructed course average.

What is counted

  • The final SRMIST CGPA after the applicable course and credit rules.
  • The conversion accepted by the receiving institution.

What is excluded

  • Semester SGPA used as final CGPA.
  • The 9.5 multiplier or a conversion rule from another SRM university.

Worked example

A final CGPA of 8.75 converts to 87.50%. A percentage of 72.00% converts back to 7.20 CGPA.

Common mistakes

  • Using CGPA × 9.5.
  • Applying the conversion to a semester result or to an SRM university other than SRMIST.

SRM campus and grading coverage

The current calculators implement the cited SRMIST B.Tech/M.Tech (Integrated) 2021 regulation. They cover SRMIST campuses where that programme and batch regulation applies. Students at SRM-AP, SRM Haryana or SRM Sikkim must use their own university regulation and can edit weighted components when the published scheme differs.
